My experience in Governance is through serving two terms on the HGHS Board of Trustees as an elected Parent Trustee, during my second term I was Deputy Chairperson. During these terms I believe I contributed to the ongoing growth and development of the school as a whole, as well as providing valuable support to the Principal and other members of the Board.

I am an energetic, positive and proactive person, who always strives to achieve the highest standard possible, at any task undertaken. I possess excellent communication skills and I have the ability and experience to lead and relate to a wide range of people. I thrive on challenges and learning new things, I work very well under pressure and I am a loyal, talented and caring person who loves making a difference in the lives of people I work alongside.

My background is varied, I hold a Law Degree from Waikato University and I have worked as a Legal Adviser for a large Government Department as well as a Manager for other large private organisations. I also hold a Bachelor of physical Education from Otago University and a Secondary teaching Diploma from Christchurch College of Education. I have taught in a secondary school previously.

I am standing in front of you & I am listening
– What do YOU want me to hear?

Please tell me your concerns, issues, fears, gripes and anything you want me to hear.

It’s not about me, I serve YOU! The Residents of Hamilton; and I believe I have a lot to offer as a Councillor and I ask for your support by voting for me to be elected to the Hamilton City Council as a West Ward Representative.
